I needed updates to instruments like Battery 4, but I've already been replacing the "Legacy Stuff" they can't be bothered to update anymore. I don't need more Play Series and Expansion Packs. I went to UCE largely because I'm divorcing myself from any investment in NI products beyond that. Kontakt itself doesn't really have an interface ) Using, say, "Analog Dreams" is nothing like working with "Straylight", but that isn't Kontakts doing but rather the way these instruments were designed. Whatever happens next has more to do with the particular instrument you're using rather than Kontakt itself. Not to mention that Kontakt is pretty easy in that regard: drag in an instrument and then use it. But that holds true for all software, especially professional software. Yet it's still one of the most heavily used 3D "editors" that's available, simply because after you learned about the environment you'll soon notice that it's like elastic: you can set it up exactly the way you want it to, pretty much everything can be customized. the commonly accepted standard like "File Edit. And it has a rather peculiar interface for starters the menus (which are called "palettes") as shown in alphabetic sequence vs. ZBrush for example is a top tiered environment for 3D sculpting as well as (hard surface) modelling. Seriously flawed because that basically applies to everything that's new to you.
